Premier Solutions HI (PSHI) - DoD SkillBridge Program

  • At PSHI, we believe the transition from military service to a civilian career should be a launchpad — not a leap in the dark. That's why we are a proud authorized partner of the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program, connecting transitioning service members with real-world, mission-driven work experience before they leave active duty.

  • SkillBridge is a DoD program that gives service members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of their active-duty service. Throughout the program, service members continue receiving their full military compensation and benefits, while industry partners like PSHI provide the civilian training and hands-on work experience.

In short: there is no cost to you as a service member, and you gain direct, career-relevant experience before your separation date.

  • PSHI supports critical missions across the federal defense and health sectors. Our teams operate at the intersection of program management, healthcare IT, training, and defense support — fields that strongly align with the skills and experience military professionals bring to the table.

At PSHI, our SkillBridge participants can expect:

    • Hands-on experience in roles aligned with your future career goals

    • Mentorship from experienced program managers and subject matter experts

    • Exposure to federal contracting environments, including DoD and DHA support missions

    • A clear pathway toward full-time employment opportunities based on performance and mission need

  • Any rank — enlisted or officer — may apply for SkillBridge. The program permits service members to use up to the last 180 days of service to train and learn with an industry partner. Separating service members must obtain approval from their current unit and be American citizens on active duty. Release for SkillBridge is always mission-dependent, and your unit Commander must authorize participation prior to entering into any agreement.

  • Applying for a SkillBridge opportunity with PSHI is straightforward:

    1. Get command approval — Speak with your chain of command early to secure authorization for SkillBridge participation.

    2. Reach out to PSHI — Contact our team at the “Get Started” link below to express your interest and share your background.

    3. Connect & align — We'll work with you to identify which PSHI opportunity best fits your skills and career goals.

    4. Begin your internship — Once matched, you'll start your SkillBridge experience and hit the ground running alongside our team.

We recommend beginning the conversation at least 6 months before your separation date to allow time for command approval and program coordination.
